High Tea Group Bookings


From commemorating a milestone birthday to simply catching up with friends, there’s always a great reason to celebrate!

The Palace Tea Room is a detailed space inspired by Parisian Tea Rooms from the early 1900’s. Offering a refined dining experience, appropriate to its location in the historic Queen Victoria Building.

The Palace Tea Room can accommodate 10-14 guests* maximum in any one group.

TRADITIONAL HIGH TEA 70pp
A set selection of petit fours & savory Items, finger sandwiches,
scone with berry jam & cream, and a tea or coffee


SPARKLING HIGH TEA 80pp
Traditional high tea served with a glass of Australian sparkling wine,
and a tea or coffee


CHILDREN’S HIGH TEA 40pp
(Served up to 12 years)
A selection of petit fours, finger sandwiches,1x scone with berry jam
& cream, served with a hot chocolate, or soft drink, or milkshake


Group Booking Terms & Conditions

  • A deposit of $300 is required to secure your reservation.
    Please note a $6 processing fee applies to group bookings. This fee is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
  • Your deposit will be deducted from your final bill. Final payment will be required on the conclusion of your booking.
  • One (1) bill will be presented to the table – we do not offer split bills or accept individual payments.
  • Please note that the credit card you have provided, cannot be accessed by our team for security purposes, as such you will need to present this or another card or cash to finalise your bill.
  • Allowing up to 14 guests maximum. We do not split groups.
  • Final guest numbers will be required 5 days prior to your reservation. We are unable to offer a refund for any confirmed persons that do not attend on the day of your booking.
    We will accommodate for, and you will be charged for the number of pre-confirmed guests.
  • As your booking will take place alongside other patrons, speeches, presentations, or games are not permitted. Professional photographers are also not permitted as part of your group booking.
  • We do not permit any balloons or confetti in the venue – decorations such as a small centerpiece are happily permitted.
  • External celebration cakes, pastries or other edible items or alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
  • Please note the ‘Morning Tea or Light Tea’ menu items are not available to groups of this size.
  • Reservations are available for a maximum duration of 2 hours from the reservation start time. Please note that your table will be available at your time of reservation and not prior. We are unable to accommodate early arrival for setups.
  • One high tea must be ordered per guest (aged 5 and over).
  • All allergies and dietary requirements are required 24 hours prior to the booking.

     Cancellation Policy

    • 14 days’ notice – the $300 deposit is refundable (strictly via the same method it was paid).
    • Less than 14 days’ notice the deposit is non-refundable.
    • Please note a $6 processing fee applies to group bookings.
      This fee is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
